Acting Principal 2026

📢 Acting Principal Appointment for 2026

We would like to share an important leadership update with our Rautāwhiri community.

From March, our Principal, Sarah Davis, will be taking up an exciting secondment with the Ministry of Education as a Project Lead implementing Vocational Education into the new curriculum. This opportunity will see her working alongside the Ministry throughout 2026. We congratulate Sarah on this achievement and thank her for her ongoing dedication to our kura. While she will be stepping away from the day-to-day leadership of the school, we know she will still be part of our community — including attending events in her special role as a proud school mum 💙

During her absence, the Board of Trustees has appointed Ms Sarah Riley as Acting Principal. She is well situated to take on this role and will be supported by a strong senior leadership team.

"I am both honoured and genuinely excited to be stepping into the role of Acting Principal. I would like to sincerely thank our Board of Trustees for their appointment and for the faith and trust they have placed in me. It is a privilege to serve our school community in this way, and I feel incredibly proud to lead such a dedicated staff and inspiring group of students.

As I begin this role, I would also like to acknowledge Sarah Davis as she heads off on her secondment. We wish her all the very best for this exciting opportunity and look forward to hearing about the experiences and insights she will gain during her time away.

We have a great year ahead of us. There is a strong sense of momentum across the school; in our learning spaces, in our co-curricular programmes, and in the relationships that sit at the heart of everything we do. I am confident that, together, we will continue to build on our strengths, support one another, and strive for excellence in all areas.

Thank you for your ongoing support. I am looking forward to working alongside our students, whānau and staff to make this a successful and rewarding year for everyone." Sarah Riley
