We have championed the story of our Te Arawa ancestress Te Ao Kapurangi and have woven her qualities into our PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) expectations, using the acronym TE AO.

Attend all classes with at least 87% attendance.
Follow the classroom Code of Conduct.
Be on time to all my classes.
Be organised with equipment for all lessons and contribute positively throughout the lessons.
Engage to achieve (INTEGRITY). I will
Be on task, meet deadlines and complete set work.
Achieve the number of credits predicted / NCEA, FCEA, JCEA portfolio tasks within the allocated time.
Achieve a Merit or Excellence in a subject assessment.
Always shows respect (RESPECT). I will:
Respect self and others.
Respect the environment.
Wear my uniform with pride.
Offer to serve (EMPATHY). I will:
Serve the school through a Sports, Arts, Cultural Team e.g. Pasifika, Stage Challenge, Raukura, participating in 8/10 Interhouse activities.
Mentor students.
Assist at school events.
Support my local community in at least one activity per term.
