Year 9 - This course allows for students to learn the foundation skills of English through fun and innovate learning contexts. At year nine we have 5 assessment reporting areas.
Year 10 - This course allows for students to continue to develop the foundation skills of English through fun and innovate learning contexts, in preparation for NCEA Level One. At year ten we have 5 assessment reporting areas.
We have seven assessments throughout the year. The dates below are the submission dates and any resubmission dates for each assessment.
Assessment One: 10 March 2017 (resubmission: 24 March 2017)
Assessment Two: 13 April 2017 (resubmission: 5 May 2017)
Assessment Three: 2 June 2017 (resubmission: 16 June 2017)
Assessment Four: 7 July 2017 (resubmission: 28 July 2017)
Assessment Five: 25 August 2017 (resubmission: 8 September 2017)
Assessment Six: 29 September 2017 (resubmission: 20 October 2017)
Assessment Seven: 17 November 2017 (resubmission: 1 December 2017)
English at Levels One to Three are courses that are independently developed to meet the unique interests and needs of the students. Students have the opportunity to achieve credits through English and Media Studies standards, both internally and externally, that are tailored to their interests. As a Faculty we endeavour to use cross-curricular learning contexts where applicable.
